Re: Wanted by the RPTools Team: A new team member!
Thanks Az, Craig, and Dorpond. I'll do my best to live up to your expectations.
As Az stated, this is a big job and I'm going to need as much help as I can get. I'll be organizing a Bard's Guild with members from various gaming communities to help spread the word. If you're active on the WotC, Paizo, or other gaming forums please drop me a note if you want to help. It would be far better to have a known member advertise MapTool than someone trolling (pardon the pun).
We'll also be asking folks to GM demo games. If the above effort is successful we'll want to run games for different systems to show folks what MapTool can do. I can host the server but I'll need experienced GMs to help run games. I've done this for a while and their are some definite dos and don'ts when introducing new folks to MapTool. There'll be gaming swag to be earned for hosting games online and at conventions.
Speaking of swag, let me know if your a design/graphic artist who's willing to help with designs for con give aways.
And finally, if you're active in social media or blogging we need you as well.
Please send me a PM or email (bard at rptools.net) letting me know if you're interested in helping out in any of the above categories.
I look forward to working with all of you.
Regards and Thanks,
Keith

WTF happened to your avatar? Maybe you should change the name as well in pr-troll

Re: Wanted by the RPTools Team: A new team member!
The name Troll does not go well with marketing. I blame the elves. (note: I blame them for most things). They've successfully turned the word 'trolling' into a pejorative. So now that I'm all elf'd up, I use a new name and avatar.
I'm open to other avatar concepts. It'll be used across multiple forums as the RPTools brand so it needs to be cool.

Re: Wanted by the RPTools Team: A new team member!
Congratulations, btw. Is "The Bard" just an rp title (like Demigod) or will it be your new avatar name? I don't know, I'm kind of partial to RPTroll, but I understand your point. I guess it depends on your current presence on other boards. If you're unknown, then yeah, you might want to change it... but really, RPTroll doesn't evoke internet troll connotations for me. It's the RP which obviously stands for Role Playing, at least for me. That suggests a literal fantasy troll rather than the ill mannered trolls of the internet.

Re: Wanted by the RPTools Team: A new team member!
Am I hearing the beginnings of a Save the Troll campaign?
The options seem to be
1) Adopt a new name
2) Create a new account for Barding(?) and keep the old one
3) Keep RPTroll here and use a new name on other boards.
Edit: I've included the images being debated here
1) Original Avatar 2) RPTools Logo
