InitiativeTool 0.1 build 0 (development)

Post by giliath »

First development release of initiative tool. It already supports many cool features such as:

* Quick expression entry for adding several monsters of the same type.
* Persistable groups of creatures for quickly getting into combats
* Ready/Delay
* Automatic rolling of initiative
* Quick keys to minimize mouse dependency[/list]

As a side note, the InitativeTool is written by Giliath and Jay, so its development is parallel to the other tools.

And before anyone has to ask, this tool will certainly be integrated with MapTool, hopefully very soon. The current plan is to be able to drag and drop tokens from the TokenPanel directly into InitiativeTool.

I've added the documentation for init tool to dokuwiki home page. It isn't close to finished yet, but it does give you an idea on how to use the init tool itself.

I haven't uploaded it to sourceforge yet, but there is a super secret URL that you can use. http://www.rptools.net/dist/zip/initiativetool-0.1.zip.

Shhh.... don't tell anyone. :wink:

/me tosses a snickers to Jay.

As Jay bends down to pick it up, others yell to beware the snickering Troll.

What's the latest version of InitTool? The zip link on the downloads page gives a 404 error, and webstart for any of the tools won't go beyond "Checking for latest version" whether my firewall is up or not...
