HI y'all;
Introduced to Maptools ages ago when I started playing 3.5/PF1. Been a DM now for a decade, usually running theater of the mind D&D5e games. Recently got into MCDM's Draw Steel, but it's a grid-centric game. Most VTTs I've tried are not intuitive for this literature nerd, and I remembered MapTools as an option.
Hoping it'll serve as a simple grid for a simple DM.

MapTool can be as simple or complicated as you're willing to put time in to. I know when I first started using it it was for an inperson game and I just wanted to show token positions on a map. Later, used it for initiatives then moved to one of the community built Frameworks for more tools and options.
