Trying to increase memory
So, getting back into using Maptools again after a long time. I loaded up one of my old campaigns, ran a couple of macros and essentially lagged out the entire program. I wanted to increase the memory allocation, so I followed what the documentation said and went to my appdata and opened up my maptools.cfg and edited the javaoptions to increase to 4g. When I loaded up the program again, it doesn't show that change and still freezes up on me when I run that set of macros... could anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?
Re: Trying to increase memory
By default, only the stack is shown so you would have to add a new line
I talk about that and some other things here: viewtopic.php?p=280623#p280623

Re: Trying to increase memory
Ah, I see. So, add the line rather than replace the existing one. I did that, except that it still shows total memory as 296mb out of the 7gb max. Am I missing something?
What I'm trying to solve for is a character creation macro that I used to be able to use on a number of tokens at once, that now seems to freeze the program. I recall I had to increase the memory back in the day...
