GMs of Modern Day and/or Post-Apocalyptic tabletop RPGs who want to make great-looking isometric maps should check out this crowdfunding campaign (it's my first time on BackerKit!).

A quick glimpse at the content Add-Ons being offered:

And even if isometric mapping isn't your thing, this campaign is also a great way to pick up a MapForge license at a discount, in case you want to make top-down or hex-tile maps, instead.

The campaign is about $1000 from funding, and ends in 23 days.

Wow! 82% of the backers thus far have pledged for EVERYTHING. 8)

Around 15 more backers should suffice to get this campaign funded. Two weeks remaining.

Here's a sample map I'm starting to put together using those assets. Wanted to make some multi-story buildings by stacking wall segments vertically. I hope to post a more complete version of the map in a week or so.

Happy to report that the BackerKit campaign finally reached the minimum funding goal last night. :)

Thanks to their recent Kickstarter campaign, Black Scrolls Games is producing three new geomorphic tilesets, collectively known as the "Secrets of the Wild" series.

The goal of this Kickstarter campaign is to get all three of those tilesets ported to MapForge's convenient Add-On format.

And as a bonus, if you missed out on Black Scrolls Games' "Cities of the Black Scrolls" series of MapForge Add-Ons, now's your chance to get them at a discount. If you've already purchased some of the sets, and you'd like to complete your collection, this is a great opportunity to do so.

Note: It's been a while since fantasy-themed top-down mapping content was the focus of one of my Kickstarter campaigns (most of my recent campaigns focused on isometric content). But if this campaign proves that there's still demand for top-down fantasy mapping content, I'll be sure to port more such content in future crowdfunding campaigns.
