Perhaps a closed sticky of each current release with the known bugs listed would be a better reference. That way it's not cluttered with comments.
Well it also wouldn't be cluttered with bug reports either as it's the users posting the bugs. But it would be nice if people could restrain themselves from just babbling on and on in those threads.

What I meant was, someone could compile those bug reports as they're reported into a closed thread that could be easily referenced.

I really didn't see anything about the object layer movement problem in the B33 dev thread...

Understood. My point was who is going to do that? I do agree that it would be really nice to have a known bugs list that is maintained after every build.

re: the select/dragging. I could have sworn it was in the b33 announce thread but I can't find it now. Ahhh that is because it was originally reported in the b32 thread though I'm pretty sure I saw someone else post about it as well.

Well, you know, one of those moderators with lots of time on their hands ;)

That's one problem with lots of builds. People may skip several of them and not know about bugs introduced in between.

One thing I've done in other settings is have a separate development forum devoted just to Bug Reports.

The bug reports then have a specific format:
Subject: [BUG v1.3.b33] Token won't dance

Summary: When I turn the music on, the rock golem token won't dance.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open MapTool
2. Drop a rock golem token on the map (Hard Rock or Soft Rock, doesn't matter).
3. Play anything by Hank Williams.
4. Noticed that the rock golem token doesn't dance.
Then, when the bug is resolved, the moderator in charge changes the main subject to

[Resolved v1.3.b34] Token won't dance

and leaves a post like
[Resolved]
This is a feature and not a bug, rock golems don't like country music.

Tokens can dance??? WOW... now that is soooo cool.... Can I choose the dance? Does it allow playing music? I want to be able to set up the chicken dance and the macarena, is that possible?

I save all my Campaign Files to DropBox. Not only can I access a campaign file from pretty much any OS that will run Maptool(Win,OSX, linux), but each file is versioned, so if something goes crazy wild, I can always roll back to a previous version of the same file.

Get your Dropbox 2GB via my referral link, and as a bonus, I get an extra 250 MB of space. Even if you don't don't use my link, I still enthusiastically recommend Dropbox..

I've seen that work well in other places as well.

That's the tricky part. Someone has to stay on top of it.

I could take a stab at it. I tend to be online constantly during my waking hours. Though that could change in a month when I start a new job.

There is actually a bug tracking system:

http://tracker.rptools.net

That people can review and submit to.

Yeah, that's true. Too bad there's no way to make it more obvious.

Ok, I submitted the bug about the object movement. I made it a minor since there are simple workarounds.
