So I can see that I have all my vision blocking in place on my map and its been working fine. However, all of a sudden, I select or mouse over a token and I don't see any of the white lines that show where the token's vision is "hitting" the vbl.
I've checked that vision is set to the "Day" on the map....and that my token has "Has Sight" checked off and a valid vision type on. And if I select the token and press Ctrl+Shift+P to bring up "Player View", then the token disappears off the map.
I swear, everything was fine 30 minutes ago and now, its like my existing VBL doesn't exist. And if I create new VBL, it still doesn't show.
I've closed and re-started Maptool (1.4.1.7), no luck. The other maps in my campaign are still showing VBL correctly.
Any ideas?

Re: VBL there...but not there
Is the token set to NPC instead of PC?
Re: VBL there...but not there
Tried it both ways, no luck.
On other maps, both NPC and PC tokens that have sight will show the VBL limitations. I even copied one of the working tokens over from one map to the "broken" map, still couldn't see the VBL.
Really hoping for a possible explanation/fix...because recreating all of this map is going to be not fun at all (Isometric, so a little more complicated than a regular one).

Re: VBL there...but not there
It is possible to create VBL complex enough that MapTool can't figure out if a token is in or out of it. Were you modifying the VBL prior to it ceasing to function?
Re: VBL there...but not there
In my situation I'm not sure what I did wrong, but when I placed VBL elements on the map, the areas were purple instead of blue, and they did NOT work when they were purple. I started the map again from scratch (ugh) and the second time the VBL elements were blue and worked as intended. Can anyone help me understand what I was doing wrong the first time (i.e., What makes VBL elements purple, and what the function of that is)? Thanks much!
Re: VBL there...but not there
The different color represent the different types of VBL/MBL. Blue (light blue) is the combination of Wall VBL (upside down T) and MBL (dashed upside down T). Dark blue is only wall VBL and Purple is only MBL. Apparently you just unchecked one of the boxes at top defining which VBL you're drawing.

Re: VBL there...but not there
Sorry, noob question here, but what's the difference between VBL and MBL?
Re: VBL there...but not there
Vision blocking Layer block vision, but not movement. But if you can't see somewhere, you still can't move there. This comes in to play when you have exposed area on other side of wall. MBL is Movement Block Layer which block movement, but not vision. So, you can see through it but can't move through it.
The other 3 is Hill, Pit and Cover. All of these are drawn as solid areas and are usually not mixed with the other vision settings. Hill allows you to see in to the area and out of area but not past the area. So backside of Hill acts like VBL if you're not in the area. Pit is kind of the opposite. While in the area you can't see out but those outside can see in and past the Pit VBL. Cover is a combo of both. When inside you can see out but those outside can see in or past VBL like a one way wall.
