Hello! I am trying out MapTool as a solution versus using Roll20. I prefer an offline tool rather than Roll20. The big problem I am running into MapTool is with the Measuring Tool. I was hoping maybe there was some sort of Add-on that would allow more configuration of this part of the interface. Here is what I am looking for:
1) A way to change the pointer from the cute measuring tape icon to a simple and accurate cross hair "+" like what Roll20 has. The current icon obscures tokens and detail that I need.
2) I need the measuring tool to have the option to linger until next use at least. Best would be if I could make several measurements then clear them all as well.
3) I would love to be able to set a "waypoint" so to speak and then keep measuring.
4) When measuring a large distance in hexes diagonally, for some reason it sort of will force going from side to side instead of allowing an "as the crow flies" measurement. I would like the option to just measure straight as an arrow (again, like roll20).
Please advise if this options are either already there and I can't find it, available as an addon or beta test or if they could be a included as fulfilling a feature request. Thanks!
Requesting advice how to and/or new features for the Measuring Tool

Fun fact: You don't have to use the measuring tool to measure stuff. You can just drag a token, which could be a tiny crosshair if you wished. You could even have them Show Last Path and drop waypoints. And you can leave as many of them lying around as you liked.
